Bullhide 4×4 started back in 1996 as Rocky Mountain Bullhide, spraying the Bullhide branded spray molded bedliners in Fort Collins, Colorado. After a few years of spraying bedliners, customers wanted us to add accessories to their vehicles such as bug shields, steps and vent shields so we started to dabble in the accessory business and found that to be the direction we wanted to grow and serve our community. In 2003, we sourced a new location to handle the growth of our larger scale business and that was when Bullhide 4×4 and Auto Accessories was born.
We are located at 5817 South College Avenue in Fort Collins, CO and have been working with not only Fort Collins residents but our neighboring communities and states with all their automotive needs and 4×4 specialties for over 24 years.
When the economy took a turn for the worst in 2008, Bullhide 4×4 had to adapt to the changes the country was getting used to doing business just as we are finding ourselves doing today. We sold the Bullhide bedliner portion of the business, purchased two more lift hoists and hired another Technician. Our focus then became more automotive service related, while still sticking to our newfound niche of accessorizing vehicles and making each one look unique to their owner. Bullhide 4×4 now offers full-service repair and maintenance for all makes and models as well as continuing in modifying vehicles with bolt on components and custom installs with aftermarket accessories.
We have been fortunate to have remained steadily busy with the new world issues of the COVID-19 pandemic that we are currently dealing with, since our business is considered essential to the daily needs of our community. Luckily, we usually schedule 3-4 weeks out in advance and our customers have been keeping their appointments to get their work done. We now offer a pickup and delivery of customers parts and vehicles to help where we can and to keep our customers safe and abiding by the stay at home rule.
We have always been more proactive than reactive when we come upon issues daily and for the success of our business. How are we going to adapt to still make an impact and keep our customers on the forefront of our minds? They have invested their time as much as we have, and we want to follow through on our word to give them what they are paying for.
