As America prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, AAM and Total Truck Centers President Tim Odom challenges aftermarket suppliers to remember the people who have always been at the center of progress. From the blacksmiths, wagon builders, and tradesmen who helped build a young nation to today’s jobbers, installers, technicians and shop owners, Odom argues that success has always depended on skilled individuals who work with their hands. Yet as the industry faces ongoing workforce shortages and increasing competition for attention and resources, he believes these businesses need stronger support than ever.
Speaking directly to supplier partners, Odom’s message is clear:
An investment in a jobber is the best investment you can make.
He encourages manufacturers to look beyond short-term sales opportunities and invest in the local businesses that educate consumers, build brands in their communities and serve as long-term ambassadors for the products they sell. As The AAM Group continues its mission to grow the aftermarket industry, Odom calls on suppliers to work together to strengthen the people and businesses that remain the backbone of the aftermarket.
