Racer's Equipment began in 1967 as a performance parts retail store in East Providence, R.I. By 1975, the business had grown to incorporate distribution as well as retailing, and the business was located to its present location. As the overall performance market evolved and the enthusiast and racing markets changed in the New England area, Racer's Equipment Warehouse was positioned to become a leading force in distribution of performance parts and accessories to the Northeastern U.S. market. Currently, Racer's Equipment Warehouse has three company-owned retail stores and one affiliate operating under the name, Driver's Seat. The seven person sales staff has over 100 years of combined knowledge, and competes in drag racing and stock car racing.

Additionally there is also car fabrication experience included in the mix. Utilizing company delivery trucks and commercial carriers, Racer's Equipment utilizes the Northeast's web of Interstates and expressway to provide next-day delivery of products throughout the region. Racer's Equipment Warehouse services Parts Pro affiliates in the New England area, plus New Jersey and eastern New York (Including Long Island). Additionally, Racer's Equipment has begun to export to Europe and the Middle East.
